Note: On Friday, I was planning on doing a VR activity.  If your child has a phone - please allow them to bring it to class as we are going to use it for a VR activity. They will also need to download the Google Expedition App.  We will also use the website - 360cities.net.  This website can be seen on a computer. If they do not have access, to a phone, we will have enough to share, no worries.

March 25 - 29, 2019

• Introduce the parts of a newspaper (slideshow)
• PicLit assignment - grammar and caption writing

Tuesday

• Read a newspaper article from the Ottawa Citizen and identify the parts of an article
• RACES - which section of the newspaper is your favourite?
• Find an article online, from the Ottawa Citizen, and fill in the organizer

Wednesday

• While reading the Ottawa Citizen, answer the Comic and Games questions
• Start writing your own news article - the articles will have to be about the community or the school - these articles will be published for all to view!

Thursday

• Work on article

Friday

• Finish article and hand in.  If the article is completed during class, I can print otherwise this has to be printed at home and handed in on Monday.

Looking for the Ottawa Citizen

If you have copies of the Ottawa Citizen, I would love to have them.  We are going to be writing news reports next week and it is always beneficial to have examples.
